About us

We are Ulrika and Anders with a family and two dogs. A couple of years ago we decided to start a new business. I quit my office job to study to become a sommelier and grow wine in Sörmland. Anders is still working at his job for the time being.

Now we have jointly built a destination for the good things in life. With us you can eat and drink well in the restaurant, learn new things about Swedish wine in the vineyard and sleep overnight in our A-frames.

Ulrika's cousin Fredric and his wife Carina are also part-owners of the vineyard. As farmers, they contribute invaluable knowledge.

About the vineyard

We started on a small scale, more with enthusiasm than experience.

But the industry is generous and it is in everyone's interest that we grow and produce really good wines in Sweden! With time, patience, many helpful friends, hardy grapevines and some setbacks, the vineyard grew, row by row. In a few years we will make our own wine, until then we are happy to tell you about the fantastic wines of our Swedish colleagues.

Our original idea grew and now we see the project more as having created a destination, a place where you can learn new things, eat and drink well, and experience nature.

With us you will find 4000 Solaris plants, a green grape that many Swedish winegrowers have in their vineyards. It blooms late and thus survives the spring frost and then it takes off and ripens in just 80 days. It is also a so-called piwi plant, that is, a grape variety that has good resistance to diseases. Wines made from Solaris have tropical notes such as melon, banana and elderberry. Pear, walnut and gooseberry are also common in both the taste and aroma of a wine from Solaris. When the grapes are harvested late, the wines tend to have a slightly sweeter tone and then honey, almond and pineapple will also become prominent.

We also have 100 plants each of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Anyone who knows their Champagne knows that these grapes, together with Chardonnay, make excellent bubbles. We envision replacing Chardonnay with Solaris and blending to create a lovely sparkling wine.

Finally, we have 500 plants of Sauvitage – a fairly new variety. It is also resistant and can withstand our Swedish climate. It produces wines similar to Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberries and tropical fruits combined with a mostly mild, harmonious acidity.

We are lucky to have managed this place and we want to share it.

Welcome!
